Delivery and Rideshare Reminder: Please Use App Notes to Help Avoid Violations

Residents are reminded to use the instruction or notes section in
delivery and rideshare apps such as Lyft, Uber, Amazon,
DoorDash, Instacart, grocery delivery services, medical
transportation services, and other similar platforms. These notes
are an important way to remind drivers that they must follow
Crown Colony’s parking and safety rules while on the property.

All drivers entering the community are expected to obey posted
signs, avoid parking in red zones, keep fire lanes clear, follow
traffic and safety directions, and avoid blocking driveways,
entrances, garage areas, trash areas, walkways, or other restricted
locations. Red zones and fire lanes are not quick-stop areas. Even
a short stop in the wrong place can create a safety concern, delay
emergency access, or place the residents at risk of receiving a
violation.

Because residents are responsible for the guests, vendors,
rideshare drivers, and delivery drivers they invite onto the
property, it is strongly recommended that residents add clear
notes in their apps before placing an order or requesting a ride.
Simple instructions can help protect you from an avoidable
infraction.

Suggested app note:
“Please do not park in red zones, fire lanes, or restricted areas.
Please follow all Crown Colony posted signs and safety rules.”

This small step can make a big difference. Many drivers are
unfamiliar with the property and may not realize that certain areas
are restricted. Adding instructions in the app gives the driver
advance notice and helps show that the resident tried to prevent
the violation.
