Residents are reminded that Crown Colony parking areas are
intended for active, properly registered, and operable vehicles.
They are not to be used as long-term storage for unregistered,
dilapidated, abandoned, or inoperable vehicles.
Recently, there have been concerns regarding vehicles being
parked on the property that are not properly registered, appear to
be in poor condition, or are not legally operable. Per the CC&Rs
and community parking rules, any vehicle parked in a Visitor or
“V” parking space that is inoperable, illegal to drive, or not
displaying valid registration may be subject to an administrative
violation and/or towing.
All vehicles entering Crown Colony that do not have a valid
resident windshield sticker are responsible for obtaining and
properly displaying a valid visitor parking pass. While many
residents and guests have relied on security guards to issue these
passes, it remains the responsibility of each resident, visitor, and
vehicle owner to make sure the proper pass is obtained and
displayed.
Visitor passes are not meant to be reused after they expire. Any
vehicle found displaying an old, reused, altered, or expired pass
may be subject to an administrative violation and/or towing.
Likewise, any vehicle parked without a valid visitor pass may
also be subject to enforcement action.
Residents are encouraged to remind their guests, family
members, caregivers, vendors, and service providers to follow
Crown Colony parking rules before leaving a vehicle on the
property. A valid pass must be visible, current, and used only as
intended.
Parking enforcement is not just about rules on paper. It is about
keeping the property organized, accessible, and safe for
everyone. When vehicles are left unregistered, expired,
abandoned, or inoperable, they take away parking from residents
and visitors who need it and create an unfair burden on the
community.
It starts with all of us taking pride and care in Crown Colony,
including how we use and respect our parking areas. Please
make sure your vehicle and your guests’ vehicles are properly
registered, operable, and displaying the correct parking pass
when required.
