Crown Colony is a community shared by many residents,
families, guests, and pets. To keep the property clean, safe, and
comfortable for everyone, residents are reminded to always
follow the community’s pet rules.

The only animals permitted to be kept on the property are birds,
cats, dogs, and fish. No more than two animals may be kept in
any one unit. All dogs must also be registered with the Crown
Colony Office. Registration helps the Association keep accurate
records and ensures that pets on the property are properly
accounted for.

Residents are reminded that pets, other than service dogs, are not
allowed in the Clubhouse, laundry rooms, swimming pools, tennis
courts, or basketball courts. These areas are shared community
spaces, and keeping pets out of these locations helps protect
cleanliness, safety, and the comfort of other residents.

Except when inside a unit, all animals must be always attended
and must be on a leash when they are on any portion of Crown
Colony property. This includes balconies, hallways, garages,
lobbies, patios, walkways, and other common areas. Pets should not be left unattended in shared spaces, even for a short time.

Dog leashes may be no longer than six feet. Retractable leashes
are not allowed on Crown Colony property. Shorter, controlled
leashes help prevent accidents, unwanted contact with other
residents or pets, and situations where an animal may
unexpectedly run into a roadway, hallway, or common area.

Pet owners are also responsible for cleaning up after their
animals. Any waste left by a pet must be picked up, sealed in a
plastic bag, and properly disposed of in a garbage container or
Fido Station container. This is not only a rule, but also a basic
courtesy to neighbors. No one wants to dodge surprise
landmines while walking through the property.

Cat litter must also be disposed of in a sealed plastic bag. Cat
boxes may not be located or stored on balconies or patios.
Proper disposal helps prevent odors, pests, and unsanitary
conditions that can affect neighboring units and shared spaces.

Owners are responsible for all damage caused by their pets.
This includes damage to common areas, landscaping, building
areas, or other property. If a dog is deemed aggressive toward
others, the dog must be muzzled while on the property.

These rules are not meant to discourage responsible pet
ownership. They are in place to protect residents, pets, visitors,
and the property. A little responsibility goes a long way in
keeping Crown Colony peaceful, clean, and enjoyable for
everyone.
